Sheilah had avoided the dentist for many years. Her dental health was deteriorating and she had become very self conscious of her smile. She had also lived in France for four years, which gave her another reason she needed not to visit a dentist as language was a barrier. Unfortunately it was in sad circumstances that she returned to the UK but this did encourage her to take action…
‘One of the last things my husband said to me before he died was to promise him to go and get my teeth done. I kept my promise.’ said Sheilah.
Sheilah now lives in Shropshire and as part of her dental research she looked far afield and contacted a number of dentists online. She explained why she contacted us; ‘I liked the Dental Solutions website – it had a nice feeling to it whilst being a centre of dental excellence, and more importantly it wasn’t pushy. After a consultation with Gavin Laidlaw and then implantologist Richard Brookshaw, Sheilah went ahead with Same Day Teeth treatment. Gavin was careful to ensure that Sheilah kept her new smile as natural as possible, even keeping the gap in her front teeth that she used to have.
So how does she feel now?
‘It’s been a long haul with the sad loss of my husband, the move to the UK and all the Same Day Teeth treatment. I now live in my own house and have a little dog. When I walk my dog I can now grin back at people who smile at me which took some getting used to. Also when I am in social situations I now have the confidence to circulate which I didn’t have in the past. Gavin has given me my confidence back and I am very grateful to him.’
