National Smile Month is the UK’s largest and longest-running campaign to promote good oral health. Running from the 16th of May until the 16th of June, the campaign encourages us to join in and help educate, motivate and communicate positive oral health messages and improve the quality of smiles all around the UK.
As part of Dental Solutions support for National Smile Month, we wanted to give a helping hand to some local and international charities by donating dental packs. The packs contain toothbrushes and toothpaste together with helpful advice and pointers to maintain good oral health.
We have visited Warrington Food Bank and James Lee House Warrington with the dental health packs, and we have also donated toothbrushes to the international healthcare relief charity Mercy Ships. Furthermore, we will be hosting a charity afternoon tea on June 24 in aid of the Christie hospital.
Our nurse, Louise Hickling, who participated in this year’s campaign, commented: “I have really enjoyed organising the dental packs and meeting the volunteers at the Food Bank and James Lee House and supporting such worthwhile causes.”
