Over time my teeth had begun to stick out and cross over at the front – it was now or I’d never get them sorted. My daughter-in-law Donna had had her teeth straightened at Dental Solutions and recommended that I came for a consultation.
Badri was put in charge of my treatment, which took just over 18 months. I had ceramic fixed braces that were barely noticeable over my teeth. They felt uncomfortable when they were first fitted and then again after each adjustment but this wears off quickly – I just kept focusing on the end goal instead!
I honestly thought that more people would notice my braces – but not many people did – it seems to be much more normal to wear them these days, and they weren’t that visible.
The end result is just brilliant – I am delighted with my new straight smile. I had to teach myself to smile again as in the past I would avoid smiling or go to the back of a group photo. I work in the healthcare sector with lots of other doctors and nurses so I am always in and out of meetings. I feel more confident and smiley now and as a result, it is also easier to put nervous patients at ease. And when I go out socially with my nursing friends I am now at the front of the group photos!
