Invisalign: Our Patient Stories
How Do Invisalign Braces Work?
The Invisalign brace treatment works by straightening your teeth, without anyone knowing that you’re even having treatment!
Invisalign braces use clear or ceramic aligners, brackets and braces. This means that your braces aren’t instantly obvious, unless you decide to tell people of course! This is why Invisalign braces are a popular choice for adults who want to straighten their teeth without compromising on their smile. Invisalign braces use a system that is virtually invisible in order to straighten teeth.
Here at Dental Solutions, we use an iTero Intraoral Scanner - some of the latest dental technology. This enables our dentists to take 3D impressions of your teeth and gums easily, safely and without the need for messy putty impressions!
Lauren using the iTero scanner on one of our patients to take a 3D image of their teeth and gums.
The iTero scan should take around 5-10 minutes. After this, you will be able to immediately see on screen just how your teeth will move into place during your Invisalign brace treatment. You'll also be able to see how they will look afterwards. The iTero scan ensures that your aligners will be the perfect fit for your teeth during every stage of the process. This includes the retainers you'll be provided with after treatment for your new smile is complete.
Following treatment for your Invisalign braces, a set of clear aligners are custom-made to fit your new teeth position. They look like thin, clear gum shields, which most people won’t even notice that you are wearing. We regularly treat patients aged 16 to 60, so age is no barrier to Invisalign brace treatments, so long as you are dentally fit to start treatment!
Our Invisalign Braces Package Includes:
- Invisalign brace treatment starts from just £1,250 (for a single arch using the i7 system).
- Free retainer at the end of your Invisalign brace treatment to keep your teeth beautifully straight.
- Free teeth whitening at the end of your Invisalign brace treatment to help add that extra sparkle and polish – the perfect finishing touch!
- We also offer 0% interest-free credit across 10 months. This affordable treatment starts from just £125 per month, which works out at just £4.10 per day!
How Long Do You Have To Wear Invisalign Braces?
Treatment time for Invisalign braces is dependent on which Invisalign system is right for you. It also depends on your teeth and how many need to be repositioned and moved. With the Invisalign i7 system, a straight smile can be achieved in as little as 7 weeks, or just over a year with the Invisalign full range.
Invisalign treatment time is completely individual and a bespoke treatment programme will be created for you at your first consultation. Your consultation will be with our Invisalign dentists, who will give you a clear idea of your expected treatment time during your initial consultation.
In our experience, patients who constantly wear their aligners following their Invisalign brace treatment, only removing for mealtimes and cleaning, tend to have the best results.
Are There Different Types of Invisalign Treatments?
There are 3 main types of Invisalign braces that we use here at Dental Solutions. If you choose to have Invisalign braces in Cheshire, then it is likely that your treatment will include one of the three mentioned below. During your initial consultation, your appointed Invisalign dentist will advise you on the best Invisalign system to best suit your needs.
This is the most commonly used Invisalign brace treatment we use here at Dental Solutions. We provide you with as many aligners as needed to achieve your desired final result. Invisalign Full is used to treat more complex orthodontic conditions. On average, when using Invisalign Full braces, you can expect treatment time to take around 12 to 18 months, but this does differ from patient to patient.
For less complex orthodontic cases, Invisalign Lite is used. Invisalign Lite uses a fixed number of aligners to correct small orthodontic problems, gradually working towards an improved smile. On average, this treatment can range from 12 to 18 months, but this again is dependent on the individual patient.
The latest addition to the range of Invisalign brace treatments, Invisalign i7 tends to have a shorter treatment time than other Invisalign treatment courses. Invisalign i7 was developed for patients who need only minor dental corrections. Whether this is to treat slight overcrowding or crooked teeth, Invisalign i7 can be a hugely useful solution . This is a treatment that can be used where previous orthodontic treatment has been carried out and where relapse is minor.
