I first came to visit Gavin for a consultation. Some medication for treatment for an illness had unfortunately left my gums feeling very spongy and my teeth were becoming loose. As a woman, the thought of losing my front teeth was horrifying me and I really couldn’t bear the thought of having dentures.
Gavin had been recommended to me by a close friend and I instantly felt at ease when I met him – he and his team were genuinely caring and understanding of my problem. I’d had a bad phobia of dentists from an early age of with a long lasting memory of gas masks and pain and I was genuinely very nervous about coming to visit him. However, I had read that Gavin was a Nervous Patient Approved dentist and I was completely reassured by the relaxed and confident manner of Gavin, Richard and his team.
Together we decided on a treatment plan of 2 implants, 2 crowns and 2 veneers in Warrington on my top teeth- the bit that really shows on my smile. We also agreed on a payment plan on interest-free credit so I could budget for my treatment across the period which was really helpful too.
On the day of the implant, I was totally petrified. It felt like every bone in my body was shaking. However, Gavin was very calming and reassuring and they even held my hand. My front teeth roots were growing in an odd way so it was quite a lengthy and complex procedure to remove them. Richard actually placed the implants in such a way that my new teeth were brought forward in a way that would make my new smile look much better and straighter than my old one. A temporary bridge was fitted after the procedure so I was never without teeth and after some mild discomfort, my mouth began to heal.
After 4 months my new two new implants, crowns and veneers were placed. It was a very emotional day. My new smile exceeded all my expectations- I just looked in the mirror and gave Gavin and his nurse a big hug! And now? I eat normally with no trouble whatsoever. I was even told by someone who I’d met the other day ‘Aren’t your teeth lovely for your age!’ So thanks, Gavin, coming to Dental Solutions was the best decision I ever made. My new smile is totally worth every penny.
