How Video Consultations Have Benefitted Our Nervous Patients
In the last couple of months, we’ve seen many of the processes in our dental practice change since COVID-19. We’re dedicated to ensuring our patients are safe and have the best possible experience with us. So, we’ve had to adapt and make noticeable changes to keep health and safety a priority at Dental Solutions.
These changes have also included introducing virtual consultations for our patients. This helps us to continue providing treatment and essential advice so you can look after your oral health. Whilst this has been a necessity for us to introduce, as a dedicated nervous patient approved clinic, we always have you in mind.
Since the introduction of video consultations, we’ve found many of our nervous patients have found it an enjoyable experience. Being in the comfort of their own home and familiarising themselves with our team before their appointment, it’s proved to be a beneficial service that has smoothed their process when eventually visiting the practice.

Charlie’s story
‘I hadn’t been to a dentist for 10 years as I suffered very badly from dental phobia, but specifically a fear of needles. I spent a lot of time researching dentists for nervous patients and the Dental Solutions website kept coming up. Their video consultation service was perfect for me as my wife was shielding during lockdown so she could be with me to keep me calm. ‘I hadn’t been to a dentist for many years as I was very nervous about going to one. But the time spent in lockdown forced me to take action. My own NHS dentist was closed so I googled around and found Dental Solutions. The fact that they did video consultations was even better as I could chat to Lauren, one of the dentists first from the comfort of my own home. Having met her first on video- she is lovely- gave me the courage to come into the practice within a week for a face to face consultation. I was very nervous at the start but quickly felt at ease.
