“It all started last July when I had a complete disaster. I broke a tooth and the bridge of 5 other teeth that it was supporting just fell out. It was a Friday evening and I had a sleepless night waiting to ring the NHS emergency dentist on the next morning. Unfortunately, because it was cosmetic work, they said that they couldn’t help me, so I spent the whole weekend in my house waiting until Monday morning so that I could make an emergency appointment with my dentist Angela Simpkins at Beach Road in Northwich. Dr Simpkins immediately recommended Gavin to me as the best implant practice she knew in the area. I booked an appointment for a consultation and they were very quick to book me in.
I have to say that Gavin is a really nice chap – he put me at ease straightaway and I didn’t feel remotely scared. He recommended implants to replace the missing teeth and upon my consent, Nicky, the implant facilitator, immediately booked me in for a CT scan to check that I had enough bone in my jaw to be able to site the implants. In the meantime, Gavin gave me a temporary denture to ensure that I didn’t have an enormous gap in my mouth whilst I awaited surgery.
The implant surgery itself isn’t either frightening or painful – I was very pleasantly surprised. Although I did “ceremoniously” smash my temporary denture afterwards: wearing a denture is just not how I see myself at all. The implants feel absolutely natural – just like normal teeth. I would recommend Gavin and Richard to anyone who is considering implant surgery. In fact, I already have to everyone I know in my social circle. If you feel any doubt or hesitation, just go for it. Honestly, it is the best money you will ever spend. You definitely will never regret it.”
