I have been coming to see Gavin at the practice for many years – since we first moved to Lymm. My teeth had been straightened when I was a teenager but gradually over time they had started to slip back to how they were before, probably due to no retainers – they just weren’t prescribed in those days.
I had often discussed with Gavin about having my teeth straightened, but at my age I just wasn’t prepared to wear braces that were noticeable.
I saw that there was a special offer on Invisalign at the practice and decided to get a consultation with their invisalign dentist. I felt quite emotional about the thought of going back to where I’d been all those years ago with those horrible braces. We agreed that Invisalign was the most suitable option and she estimated that my treatment would take around 15 months to complete, so I decided to go ahead and my Invisalign journey began!
Getting used to the aligners was difficult to begin with – having to take them out to eat a meal or even drink a cup of tea was a pain, but well worth it for the results I have achieved. I’m so glad I have had it done – I now smile a lot more for photos without feeling self-conscious!
