“I first came across Dental Solutions website after searching on Google for teeth straightening. I live and work in Northwich, so it wasn’t too far to come to Gavin Laidlaw’s Dental Solutions in Lymm. I watched the videos on the website, liked the quality of the team and their friendly ethos and thought that my teeth could possibly be treated with the 6 month smiles system.
I’d had a bad experience with a dentist and braces when I was younger and as a result I had put up with my crooked teeth for many years- I was a nervous patient, but I decided that I wasn’t going to put up with them anymore.
I had my first free consultation with Sophie Parker who said that unfortunately my teeth couldn’t be treated with 6 month smiles. She then referred me to Badri Chari the orthodontist at the practice. Badri and his assistant Maria were both great and totally reassured me that I could be treated with fixed braces to straighten my teeth. I’ll be honest, the treatment was a bit of a shock to begin with. The braces felt really big in my mouth and it did hurt a bit for a couple of days after every adjustment. I also had to watch what I ate – no apples, pizza or corn on the cob – chewing meat was difficult to begin with too.
But here I am 15 months later, with a fantastic smile. I put my trust again into some lovely talented and patient people who genuinely seemed to care about me and deliver a high quality service. I’m much happier now – my job involves meeting new people every day and I feel more confident doing so. However it is taking a bit of time getting used to my new smile since the braces were removed – I keep doing a double take in the mirror when I see myself!”
