What is Invisalign?

The aim of Invisalign is to help straighten your teeth as discreetly as possible; which is why this solution has developed the nickname ‘invisible braces’! As such, this is a very popular option for adults who don’t want to compromise their smile or have to deal with traditional fixed braces in a working or social environment.

A series of custom-fit aligners are created over the course of your treatment to help correct crooked or misaligned teeth, usually over a period of 6 to 18 months. Created using a special clear, thin, type of plastic material, it is very unlikely most people will notice you are even wearing aligners at all. In most cases, new aligners are now provided weekly so you will begin to see your smile take a shape that you will love in the quickest possible time.

There are a number of Invisalign treatments available, depending on the severity of your misalignment:

• Full Invisalign Treatment – treatment ranging from 6 to 18 months, using as many aligners as needed to achieve the desired result. Often used for more complex conditions.
• Lite Invisalign Treatment – using a set number of aligners for treatment of less severe alignment issues. Often used to realign teeth prior to more complex dental work such as veneers, crowns or bridges.
• Invisalign i7 Treatment – a much shorter treatment option. Perfect to help small adjustments and to help in the case of prior orthodontic treatment relapse.
