Jane’s Story – Invisalign

I first came to see Richard about braces 16 months ago. I’d had fixed braces as a teenager, hated them and was also terrified of the dentist. Unfortunately, my teeth had moved out of alignment over the years as dentists didn’t seem to have the same focus on retainers that they do now.

I wanted straight teeth again – I could afford it and I felt it was time to put myself first for a change! I’d even stopped smiling in photos as I didn’t like to show my crooked teeth – so I knew it was time to take action.

Conscious that I didn’t want to wear traditional braces, Richard recommended Invisalign, particularly as he told me that it had become a more effective orthodontic treatment over recent years due to the enhanced materials and technology they use. I decided to go ahead and I’m so glad I did.

My treatment took 16 months from start to finish and it didn’t hurt at all. Sometimes my speech was slightly lispy when it was time to put in a new set of Aligners but I quickly adjusted to them. Many people, even close colleagues and friends didn’t even know that I was wearing aligners.

I can whole heartedly recommend Invisalign to anyone considering orthodontics – I would do it again. The Invisalign system doesn’t interfere with your daily life as you can remove them, eat and drink normally, brush your teeth and then pop them back in again.

And of course I now dutifully wear retainers to keep my smile in perfect alignment – there’s no going back nowadays! Everyone is lovely at Dental Solutions too – they share your excitement about your new smile and genuinely care about your treatment.
