I had always been petrified of dentists, stemming from having a gas anaesthetic in their surgery when I was a small child.
When I suffered a tooth infection following a failed root canal treatment, my dentist offered me the opportunity to have another go at root canal treatment or to be referred to an implant dentist of their choosing. But I decided to take control and look for alternatives myself–choice is good in my opinion!
I first found Dental Solutions through their Facebook page, then read their reviews and looked on their website too. They seemed professional and friendly so I decided to call for a consultation.
I like the little details at the practice–the nice decoration, the TVs in the ceiling to distract you from your treatment, music in the background, the lovely boats on the canal outside–they all helped me to feel calm and relaxed. Above all the friendly and caring staff who took time to reassure me and calm my nerves helped me trust the team and opt for my treatment at Dental Solutions.
When you meet Gavin, Richard and Nicky there’s no technical blurb, they tell you in plain English what’s going to happen, but in a nice way which is also very reassuring so that you feel involved in the process.
I’m delighted with the results of my treatment–I see the implant as an investment in my smile so I now religiously follow the instructions on how to look after them. It’s the best decision I’ve made regarding my teeth and I wouldn’t hesitate to have another if needed because the results are remarkable and I am no longer afraid of going to the dentist!
