The newest member of our nursing team, Louise moved to Cheshire, Warrington, with her fiancé Chris in October last year. Originally from London, Louise moved to Lymm with Chris who was born & raised in the village, as she enjoyed visiting so much- particularly the friendly people, beautiful surroundings and more affordable housing!
Louise has spent most of the past decade in Cambridge and graduated with a degree in Photography from The Cambridge School of Art, and has been a Clinical Photographer and dental nurse ever since. She explains ‘I have developed a real passion for all areas of cosmetic dentistry over the years, and I particularly enjoy helping with patient education and information, and helping to ensure our patients have a great and informative experience here at Dental Solutions, Warrington.
I enjoy my additional duties as well as nursing – particularly the photo shoots and numerous charity events we’ve held over the past year. Her extra qualifications within the field (radiography, impression-taking and photography) mean that Louise also has patients booked in with her, and will also assist our dentists during appointments while they plan their treatments by carrying out dental x-rays, impressions for study models and appliances, and clinical photos. These information-gathering appointments mean that our dentists can plan treatment, have certain appliances made, and make up our essential clinical records kept on file for our patients.
She explains ‘ I have also carried out several post-treatment photo shoots for patients who have undergone treatments with us so they can have a professional printed & framed photo of their new smile, and several photo files from the shoot with our compliments! It’s great to put my degree to even more use, and I love to see the patients through their journey, then photograph them professionally at the end of it’.
Outside of work, Louise is currently busy organising her forthcoming wedding on the 11th of September, and then honeymooning to one of their favourite destinations Disneyland Paris, after being proposed to last year in Disneyland Florida!
Louise is a big animal lover – she has 2 house rabbits called Mister and Mrs Binks, a hamster, and walks a Springador called Bailey for a local family once a week. She enjoys photography outside of work (not just of teeth!), loves her little blue Smart Car, and riding her motorbike with Chris and friends, particularly to The Cat and Fiddle & taking in the beautiful scenery of Matlock. She also listens to many genres of music & loves attending rock concerts with friends when she can. Visiting family and friends who are dotted around the country tend to absorb her time on weekends also!
