I hadn’t been to a dentist for several years and consequently I was very anxious about going, but I knew that I needed to. I could feel and see that my teeth and gums were gradually deteriorating, and they were also becoming loose at the back.
The dentist I saw suggested removal of my teeth and dentures. The thought of dentures horrified me, so I did quite a lot of research online about possible alternatives.
I then came across the gavinismydentist website and read a number of the testimonials and their gentle approach to nervous patients made me interested enough to take a deep breath and pick up the phone.
I liked the way they made no false promises, but they reassured me from the very start and gave me confidence throughout the whole process. The whole team were brilliant- from Richard who performed the surgery to the Reception team who called to check how I was after surgery. There’s no big boss there, everyone calls each other by their Christian names and they really gel as a team.
I experienced no pain whatsoever during surgery and very little bruising and swelling afterwards. I was amazed and wondered why I’d put off treatment for so long.
Gavin then took a great deal of care to ensure that my All on Four was the perfect fit and looked natural- even the temporary All on Four – carefully adjusting them several times to get it just right.
The entire process has taken a year from start to finish. I am recently retired from the teaching profession and for many years I had mastered the art of hiding my smile. My new smile has given me a huge boost in confidence, especially dealing with people that I don’t know. But even the people I do know all noticed a huge difference after the treatment, one friend even asked me if I had had a facelift!
I would highly recommend anyone nervous about visiting a dentist to go and see Gavin, it’s the best decision I ever made.
