By accident, I was visiting Lymm with my husband one day and my husband noticed a banner outside the practice advertising an Implant Open event with consultations.
He knows just how frightened I am but literally pushed me through the door as I was so petrified at the thought. The friendly receptionist immediately sensed that I was uncomfortable and chatted to me to calm my fears. She popped upstairs and spoke to Gavin who was having his lunch but was able to see me there and then before I could change my mind and flee!
We both met Gavin who was lovely and instantly calmed my nerves with his reassuring manner. He took the time to talk to me, then examined my teeth. Finally, he explained the process and what he needed to do in a way that seemed manageable and acceptable and decided that I could be treated by the team there.
We went away from the practice slightly elated that I had been brave enough to step through the door and we decided that I should go ahead with the treatment.
On the day of the implant surgery itself, I felt no pain whatsoever – Richard was amazing – explaining throughout what he was doing.
My teeth look and feel completely natural in my mouth – people haven’t even noticed.
I really feel that Gavin has cured me of my fear of dentists. After my entire experience here at Dental Solutions, all I can say to whoever is reading this is there’s no need to worry, no pain, no nothing – just pick up the phone and go and see Gavin.
