I had been researching All-on-4 or same day teeth providers for about 2 years on and off before I came across Dental Solutions in Lymm. I had even investigated the lower cost option of going abroad for the treatment and looked at places in Budapest and Turkey. I eventually ruled this out as an option as the thought of anything going wrong and aftercare in the UK scared me. I thought if I had developed an infection, I’d be in a real mess. In my opinion if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is! So I then refined my search to clinics in the North West. I looked at places in Northwich and Daresbury before coming to Dental Solutions. I’d also read a lot online about Richard Brookshaw the implant surgeon and knew that he had a superb reputation.
To be honest I have never liked going to the dentist, but when you walk through the door at Dental Solutions it doesn’t even have a dentists smell. Gavin’s room overlooks the Bridgewater canal so there’s a lovely view out of the windows. There’s also a real personal touch here, you are called by your name and the whole team greet you warmly when they see you. Once I had decided to proceed with treatment the whole process was great. I had some hygiene treatment first, scans and castings, so by the time I came in for the treatment I genuinely didn’t feel any nerves, just a shared sense of calm with the team looking after me.
The sedation I had was great, to the extent that I asked Richard when he was going to start, to be told that the treatment was finished. When I finished I gave Richard a hug – probably with relief, but that’s the kind of guy he is.
I followed the instructions post treatment with ice packs and a course of steroids and antibiotics which helped to keep bruising to a minimum.
When I got married last July I felt absolutely brilliant that I could smile properly for the wedding photos. Also I can now eat anything I want, even a crisp crunchy apple which was definitely a no go area before! This treatment has honestly given me the confidence to smile again and I should of done it years ago. So without meaning to sound too cheesy, here’s my advice if you are reading this…. Ignore all the rest, and come to the best!
