I am the ultimate nervous patient. It all stemmed from when I was a little girl and I had to have 5 ‘baby’ teeth taken out at the dental hospital. After that I was always (and still am) petrified of the sound of the dentist’s drill. I would only go to the dentist when I absolutely had to.
However my son was getting married and I knew that I wanted to have a lovely smile for the photographs – I couldn’t bear to smile with my teeth as they were. So I plucked up the courage and came to see Gavin to see what he could do for me. Gavin recommended a course of treatment which included some dental crowns on my upper teeth in order that my smile would look lovely on my son’s big day. Gavin was amazing – I can honestly say that I experienced no pain whatsoever. His surgery overlooking the canal is lovely and distracting while you look at the boats going by, but he also puts the overhead television on to keep my mind occupied during treatment. But my praise extends to his entire team including Rachel the hygienist who was so kind and rearranged my appointment one day when I couldn’t face her hygienist session due to my hypersensitivity.
I am absolutely delighted with the results of the dental crowns and on my son’s big day I could smile broadly for the photos.
