Here at Dental Solutions, we believe that one of the most standout elements of any visit through our doors is the staff. And we know that you agree! For this reason, we have decided to shine the light on a number of our fabulous team members. This week we get to know Kelly McGeechan, our latest receptionist, a little bit better…
Kelly has joined our Reception team, having most recently lived abroad for 6 years in Dubai working in the Oil and Gas industry. She has lived a very colourful life, living in many countries due to her father being in the military when she was growing up. Kelly also attended boarding school in North Wales – Penrhos College.
My dog Millie, who is a wirehaired dachshund. Also, I love cheese and the British countryside. After living in the Middle East for 7 years, it has made me appreciate England so much more.
It’s a very new industry for me, in fact, I used to have a fear of dentists. But, watching the procedures and understanding the treatments has been interesting, I have taken a real interest.
Since leaving Oil and Gas, which is a tough industry, when I left the Middle East, I started work in a thread veins clinic as a coordinator and from there decided that I wanted to work in a medical field. Mainly as I wanted to work in an environment where I could help patients overcome cosmetic fears, etc. Seeing a patient who had so much fear beforehand come out of an appointment smiling is always so heartwarming.
Meeting and greeting Patients, learning and seeing something new each day, and the team I work with.
I have surprised myself how interested I have become in Teeth, considering I hated the dentist and hated needles. I’ve had the opportunity to watch an implant procedure, which is fascinating.
A travel expert, just call me Judith Charmers #2.
Life, Love and a dash of Sass
Hawaii is stunning, the locals are so chilled out, the islands themselves are so lush and green.
Alaska for its amazing wildlife, and Panama for the rainforests and all the cute sloths I saw.
Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra which reminds me of my old clubbing days. I last watched the Connor McGregor “Notorious” documentary and it was brilliant, he comes across as such a nice guy. I also like boxing.
The last book that I read was the Gordon Ramsey Autobiography, I love his blunt wit and personality.
I literally just change my shoes to trainers and walk my dog down the country lanes where I live, weather permitting, sausage dogs hate the rain. Then, I love pouring a good glass of merlot and putting the candles on.
And there you have it, everything you need to know about Kelly! Have any more questions for her? Well, simply book an appointment and you can see her in reception for yourself. Or simply call the reception on 01925 756565 – she’s always happy to help answer your questions and help find an appointment that’s right for you.
