Sophie Parker is back from her maternity leave this month after the arrival of baby Grace, and some more letters after her name!
Commented Sophie “I’m looking forward to catching up with all my patients and the team at Dental Solutions and hearing all of their news whilst I have been away. And no doubt sharing a few photos of baby Grace with them”.
Whilst she has been on maternity leave, Sophie has also completed her Masters in Endodontology – the completion of 3 years post graduate training which she has passed with Merit.
Endodontics is the dental specialty concerned with the study and treatment of the dental pulp. Endodontists perform a variety of procedures including root canal surgery, treating cracked teeth, and treating dental trauma. If the dental pulp (containing nerves, arterioles, venules , lymphatic tissue, and fibrous tissue) becomes diseased or injured, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth.
Commented Sophie “I’m delighted with my Masters which is the culmination of 3 years of work and also to achieve a Merit in this field is especially gratifying – writing my final dissertation whilst very pregnant with Grace was quite a challenge”.
