Samantha’s Story – Nervous Patients
I had a bad fear of dentists from experiencing different traumas throughout my adult life, to the point where I didn’t attend a dentist for years.
I had to return to a dentist after being hit in the mouth with a bottle and it killing the root and knocking my tooth out. I had many different things done, caps, root canal, different tooths made etc. and each time I would come away in tears due to how it looked. I’m a very smiley person and i had to hide it and hold back due to my confidence with how my tooth looked. I was unhappy for years.
I recently reached out to Dental Solutions and took that first step, which took a lot of courage for me, when I phoned to speak to the team I was actually shaking. Before attending my first appointment I stood outside telling myself to open the door. I felt sick. But I’m so glad I pushed myself to walk through your door.
The team on the desk greeted me with a smile and spoke politely and friendly. The dental team I seen made me feel at ease and listened to me. I was made aware of the plan of treatment and price list etc.
During my treatment each appointment got that bit easier for me, until it came to the implant being placed, I was that scared I was nearly crying on the way to the surgery. How Richard kept me calm throughout is amazing. The procedure was quicker than expected and painless.
On the day of Gavin fitting the final implant tooth, I was nervous but this time, excited nervous. After he fitted my tooth and I saw it in the mirror, I tried to hold back my tears, but for the first time in a dental room, these were tears of happiness. I could not thank him enough.
